Maria Miller didn’t just build a catering company, she built a second family. As head chef and owner of Ball ’N Biscuit Catering, she brings Latina warmth, creativity, and unapologetic love into every event she serves.

What started in a home kitchen in 2006, has grown into a full-service catering team, but the soul behind it hasn’t changed. Maria’s crew isn’t just staff, they’re family. Many have been with her for years, and it shows in every perfectly plated dish and every warm welcome guests receive.

Maria is known for her ability to bring any vision to life in the kitchen. Whether she’s crafting a culturally inspired menu, recreating a beloved family recipe, or designing something entirely new for a special event, she pours care, personality, and flavor into every plate.

From the very first tasting to the final dish served, Maria and her team create an experience that feels personal, welcoming, and unforgettable.

Ball ‘n Biscuit is a small catering business  established in 2006 and located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.


We create delicious food options for everything from showers and birthday parties, corporate lunches and meetings, to weddings and holiday work parties.


We can easily serve intimate gatherings of 10 people all the way up to large events with 300 people.


We strive to use clean, organic and local ingredients (whenever possible — we are at the mercy of Wisconsin winters, and not much grows here come January!) and can prepare cuisines of all kinds as well as meet any sort of dietary requirements.


Vegan and vegetarian dishes are a large part of our menu, and we’re happy to prepare gluten free and allergy-friendly options.

At Ball ‘n Biscuit, we pride ourselves on home-cooked meals that satisfy everyone’s culinary tastes. We can prepare things in a simple buffet set up, provide tables with generous helpings family-style & also have a skilled team that can serve plated options to your guests.  

Our menu is vast, and we’re not beholden to it. If you’d like grandma’s best dish served at your wedding, send us the recipe. We’ll make it!
